The B.K.S. Iyengar Yoga Association of Los Angeles (IYALA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit public benefit organization dedicated to the study, teaching, and dissemination of the art, science, and philosophy of Yoga according to the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar. IYALA conducts classes as the B.K.S. Iyengar Yoga Institute of Los Angeles (IYILA). All teachers at the IYILA are Certified Iyengar Teachers in good standing in accordance with the assessment process set forth by B.K.S. Iyengar and the B.K.S. Iyengar Yoga National Association of the United States (IYNAUS).

The Association sponsors free workshops and other events aimed at sharing information about B.K.S. Iyengar and his work, furthering study of yogic philosophy and fostering a sense of community among practitioners of Iyengar Yoga in our region.
