Ethical Guidelines

The Iyengar Yoga Institute of Los Angeles strives to create an environment were all are valued. We value the diversity of our student body, our teachers, our volunteer members, and our staff. As a nonprofit, we are invested in creating an inclusive, equitable, and accessible yoga school. We believe in maintaining a respectful and safe atmosphere for all: all ethnicities and cultures, creeds, religions, national origin/s, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, age, disability or different ability, service in the military or other uniformed services, and educational backgrounds. Yoga is for all.

The Association and Institute are committed to ensuring a safe environment for all teachers, staff and students. Ethical guidelines that govern our teachers, Ethical Guidelines to Prevent Verbal Abuse, Sexual Harassment and Verbal Abuse and procedures regarding enforcement of these guidelines can be found on the Iyengar Yoga National Association of the United States (“IYNAUS”) website.
