These funds are specifically used to support the Institute, including studio maintenance and improvements, ongoing general operations, and paid staff positions. Funds also help maintain a high quality supply of props (bolsters, blankets, blocks, belts, mats, ropes and other therapeutic props.)
The Iyengar Yoga Institute of Los Angeles (“IYILA” or “The Institute”) is owned by the B.K.S. Yoga Association of Los Angeles (“IYALA” or “The Association”) which is a registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation and a regional chapter of Iyengar Yoga National Association of the United States (IYNAUS).
All donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent as allowed by the Internal Revenue Service. All donations receive an acknowledgement letter which also serves as a receipt for income tax purposes.
A thank you to all donors is published annually in both Yoga Samachar and Yoga Vidya, unless donors wish to remain anonymous.
