This class is specifically for ambulatory students with Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s, and other neurological challenges or movement disorders.
While each individual varies, symptoms often manifest in similar ways. We will look at underlying principles in the practice of Iyengar Yoga to enhance mobility and stability of body while cultivating peace of mind for those with these types of conditions. Though yoga is not a cure, yoga helps us to endure what cannot be cured.
To register as a new student:

Once the form is received we will follow up to confirm dates of attendance. Pay for the course by phone or in person.
Enrollment is not confirmed until full payment for the course is made, by phone or in person.
Pre-registration is required.
Due to the nature of the class, this course is available only in a series of 4 sessions.
No experience necessary.
There are no make-up classes in this course.

A devout enthusiast of Iyengar Yoga, Garth McLean offers a range of classes and specialty workshops in Los Angeles and worldwide. Garth is a Certified Yoga Therapist and a founding Board and Faculty Member of Iyengar Yoga Therapeutics, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people manage diseases and conditions through therapeutic applications of yoga.
Garth brings his experience of living with MS since 1996 to this class. Under the direct guidance of the Iyengar family in Pune, he has learned to successfully manage the condition.
